To not be deceived by the enemy means to remain vigilant and discerning in our spiritual lives, recognizing that the devil often tries to mislead, confuse, or manipulate us through lies and temptations. His tactics may seem subtle or enticing, but they are designed to pull us away from the truth of God’s Word and the path He has set for us. The enemy thrives in deception, hoping to create doubt, fear, and division, but as followers of Christ, we are called to resist him by standing firm in our faith, grounding ourselves in God's truth, and trusting in His power to guide us.
We have the victory in Christ Jesus. This victory is not just a future hope, but a present reality. Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus has already defeated sin, death, and the power of the enemy. The victory He has won is ours when we align ourselves with His truth and surrender our lives to Him. We do not fight for victory, but from a place of victory. Jesus has equipped us with everything we need to stand firm, to walk in freedom, and to resist the schemes of the enemy.
Today, Jesus is calling us to walk away from ungodly influences. These influences may come in many forms—whether they are toxic relationships, misleading ideologies, or temptations that lead us away from God's will. When we choose to follow Jesus, we must choose to distance ourselves from anything that does not align with His truth and holiness. The call is clear: to live in the light, to walk in obedience, and to embrace His truth above all else.
In this journey, we are not alone. Jesus, through the Holy Spirit, empowers us to resist the enemy and to stay rooted in His love and truth. By trusting in His victory, we can boldly turn away from the lies of the enemy and live a life that honors God. We are called to be transformed, to live as conquerors, and to reflect His light in a world that desperately needs it. So today, let us take a stand, reject ungodly influences, and walk confidently in the victory that Jesus has secured for us.
